Abstract He's back. After over a decade's absence, Scott-David Allen has returned. Those familiar with this MP3.com standout's work will fully enjoy this, as it's as soaked in retro darkwave/synthpop as his other outings. But don't expect simple retreads of previous sounds. Production is sharper, instrumentation has matured, and overall feel is that of continued evolution. For example, the quasi-industrial stomp of Sanctuary is pleasantly unexpected.
Plus he released it on my birthday, which was nice. Favorite track: An Echo of Something.

ADJ I have followed ACOT since the old school days of mp3.com. This entire album fits right into my expectations of what I love about Scott-David Allen's music: dark, sad, smooth and punchy. Favorite track: The Fields of Flesh.
